Text Box: Otters busy with their activities:
Text Box: This last month we learned what grows on vines. How grapes and apples grow, smell, and taste. We also had a great opportunity to make fresh grape juice and tasted it.
The Otters enjoyed nature walks in October. They gathered leaves, sticks, acorns and rocks to make collages.
Text Box: It’s that time of year to bring out warm clothes for the cold mornings (labeled!) and make sure your child has long pants and other dry clothes to change into.

The creek yard was full of fall color and outdoor fun.

In an effort to reduce the risk of spreading germs we have implemented hand washing upon arrival.  We have had many adults wonder why we would ask you to wash your child’s hands if he/she is only going to go out to the yard and get them dirty again.  Our hope is that by washing hands upon arrival at school we are cutting down on the germs that are brought from home, from siblings, from other schools, from the hands that were in their mouth in the car, etc.  We are trying to keep those germs out of our school (we already have enough!).  Likewise, we highly encourage you to adopt the same attitude about not bringing home any germs from school by washing your child’s hand upon departure from school everyday.  There are many teachers who do this just so that they are not bringing home extra germs. Thank you for helping to keep our children healthy!
